Promoting the formation of environmental awareness in children: the representation of nature in Chinese language textbooks

چکیده
Abstract The main purpose of this study is to investigate the integration environmental education into language education. Drawing inspiration from Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), our focus lies on examining kinds participants in material processes texts carefully chosen a collection widely utilized primary school Chinese textbooks. We pay particular attention power and activity hierarchy participants, understand how these represent nature interconnections between fundamental elements nature. Our findings reveal that textbooks, through age-appropriate content, are deliberately crafted instill knowledge young learners, nurture their ecological awareness inspire actions aimed at safeguarding delicate ecosystems sustain all life forms.
